In an ongoing effort to automate tasks for Dynacare Laboratories (Milwaukee), we recently completed an application which allows clients to order supplies through a web based interface. This replaces what was once an error prone paper process, and provides Dynacare with a dependable system for processing incoming orders.
The project took place after a site re-design by designer Brent Kaul, and follows the look and feel of the new design. We were able to build the application directly within the existing site which allows for a smooth transition between the application and other areas of the site.
Development notes:
- Mimics features of a shopping cart, providing clients with a familiar environment when placing orders
- Items and categories are dynamic, allowing Dynacare to change them as needed
- Integrated with Dynacare’s proprietary backend software
- Both the application and database structure were developed using Asp.Net 2.0 and SQL Server
- Provides email messaging features to notify staff of incoming orders
